Private Lessons

I have over two decades of experience in teaching private lessons to students of all ages.  Private lessons allow for a tailored learning experience that addresses the needs, strengths, and interests of each individual student.  This personalized approach also celebrates our individuality, recognizing that our differences are what make us unique learners, capable of achieving success in our own distinct and unique ways.

I teach beginner to advanced cello lessons as well as beginner to intermediate piano lessons.  All ages are welcome to reach out.  You are never too young or too old to start a musical instrument.

In-Person Lessons

In-person lessons involve meeting face-to-face with students and provides immediate and personal feedback from the instructor, along with hands-on guidance.  This is the most popular option as this allows the student the opportunity to work on the physical and artistic elements of playing an instrument such as posture, technique, and expression, which can be more challenging to assess via a screen.

Virtual Lessons

Virtual lessons are private lessons offered through video communication platforms such as FaceTime, Google Meet, Skype, and Zoom.  These types of lessons are beneficial because they offer flexibility, allowing students to learn from anywhere in the world using an internet connection.  Additionally, they eliminate travel time and still offer the same knowledge they would get if they were in-person.  This was a very popular and successful method a few years back and many current students still continue their lessons virtually due to location and ease of use.

Group Lessons

Though not as popular as in-person and virtual lessons, group lessons can be offered to those who wish to study an instrument together with a friend(s) or colleague.  This approach is not as personal due to there being more than one student present, but there are some benefits to being in a group such as collaboration and healthy competition between each other.  Usually this method is routinely used by music schools.
